Some simple suggestions, from a novice. Fuel leaking under the bike? Check your fuel lines, no cracks, no missing clamps or disconnected, partially on/off. Had that happen while driving down the highway, like I ran out of gas, a fuel line came off. Technically I did, lol! Also, have you changed the oil recently? Happen to have put too much oil in once and no idle, black smoke, choking out, and very sluggish acceleration. Simple fix but major trouble. Could be dirt or some debris clogging up the works in carb, air filter, or (if installed) a fuel filter. Has it sat for an extended period prior to riding? If so, bad gas, condensation or some other "sitting" issue, especially if its a short ride to work. Start simple, and work to major. Hopefully it will be a simple fix. Please keep us posted, I know I like to hear how things turn out so when I go to monkeying around with my bike, I have some info to fall back on. Good luck and happy riding!!!
